Hodie Pompeii non iam urbs, sed tantum ruina est. Multi adveniunt ut ruinam conspiciant et comperiant quae vita in urbe Romana antiqua fuerit.

Pompeianis in domibus reperti sunt multi molares lapides. Molae oleariae e saxo Vesuvii constabant ex duabus rotis transtro ligneo coniunctis quod super cardinem ferreum in labro infixum rotabant. Mola quoque ad frumentum molendum adhibita erat et constabat ex lapide cavo in secundo lapide posito. Frumentum in primum lapidem summum infundebatur, qui, duobus transtris asino et ab servis impulsis rotando, inter duos lapides traduceret atque moleret. Frumento farina facto panis parabatur.
